Chakra

Your Chakra Pool

  • Maximum chakra is 1,000 at level 1, plus 300 for every level after that (30,700 at level 100), plus chakra training: from level 10 on, filling each level's Chakra XP share adds about 214 max chakra (it grows as the share fills), 19,300 in all, so a level-100 shinobi has 50,000. It is never more than 50,000.
  • Stats do not change your maximum chakra; only your level, your chakra training and your armor do. Armor's extra chakra still can't take you past 50,000, so it helps most before level 100. Levels past 100 add no more chakra.
  • Chakra is shown in the Combat HUD as the right-hand bar (see Combat HUD).
  • Creative and spectator players never pay chakra.
  • After death you respawn with a fresh, full pool.

Chakra Costs

Every jutsu and ability has a fixed chakra cost. Costs never scale with your pool or your level.

Movement ability costs:

  • Chakra Control: 6 chakra per second while it is holding you to a wall or ceiling, or holding you up on water.
  • Water Walking: 5 chakra per second. It is active whenever Chakra Control is on.
  • Wall Climbing and Ceiling Walking: 10 chakra per second each.
  • Ninja Dash: 60 chakra per dash.
  • Tree Leap: 80 chakra per leap.
  • Ninja Run and Ninja Jump: free.

If an ongoing cost can't be paid, that ability switches off with the message "Out of chakra". If you try something you can't afford, the chakra bar flashes red.

Regeneration

  • Chakra regenerates at a flat 25 per second, plus 8 per second per Ninjutsu point.
  • A full armor set with a chakra regen bonus adds a small share of your maximum chakra every second on top.
  • Regeneration starts 1.5 seconds after you last spent chakra.

Chakra Pills

Medical ninjas sell two chakra pills, each in stacks of up to 4. A pill is swallowed quickly, even on a full stomach.

  • Chakra Pill (400 ryo): restores 15% of your maximum chakra at once, then gives Chakra Surge for 20 seconds: chakra regenerates 3x faster.
  • Gold Chakra Pill (Rare, 2,000 ryo): restores 40% of your maximum chakra at once, ends chakra exhaustion on the spot, then gives a stronger Chakra Surge for 45 seconds: chakra regenerates 8x faster.
  • While Chakra Surge lasts, regeneration doesn't wait the usual 1.5 seconds after you spend chakra.
