Squads
Basics
- A squad is a group of up to 4 players, leader included.
- Squads last only for the session and are not saved. Leaving the server leaves your squad, and a server restart clears all squads.
- Squads are managed from the Squad page of the Shinobi Menu.
Rules
- Create: you become the leader.
- Invite: only the leader can invite. Inviting without a squad creates one first. The target must not already be in a squad, and the squad must not be full. The invite lasts 60 seconds. The target is told "<leader> invited you to their squad. Accept or decline it in the Squad tab.", an invite card appears on their Squad page ("Accept" / "Decline"), and their Squad tab shows a badge.
- Accept: joins if the invite hasn't expired and there's room ("<name> joined the squad.").
- Decline: tells the leader "<name> declined your invite."
- Leave: "<name> left the squad." If the leader leaves, the next member becomes leader ("<name> is now the squad leader."). If the last member leaves, the squad ends.
- Kick (leader only): "<name> was removed from the squad." The kicked player is told "You were removed from the squad."
- Disband (leader only): "The squad was disbanded."
- Chat messages to the squad are prefixed "[Squad]".
The Squad Page
Not in a squad: "You're not in a squad. Create one and invite other players, or accept an invite. Squadmates see each other on the map and can share waypoints." with a "Create Squad" button, plus any invite card.
In a squad:
- "Squad" with each member: their name ("You" for yourself), "Lv N", a health bar, and where they are (distance, "Offline" or "Another dimension").
- A "Go" button navigates to where a member is right now (a snapshot; press again to refresh), and the leader also gets "Kick".
- Footer: "Disband" (leader) or "Leave".
- Shared Waypoints: each with "by <player>", and navigable. When there are none: "No shared waypoints. Select a waypoint on the Map and press Share."
- Invite (leader): a list of online players not yet in your squad, each with an "Invite" button. Possible messages: "No one else is online to invite.", "Only the squad leader can invite players.", "The squad is full."
- Member positions and health update about once a second.
Shared Waypoints
- Share a waypoint from the Map page. Everyone in the squad is told "<name> shared a waypoint: <waypoint>", and it appears on their map and Squad page.
- Names are cut to 32 characters.
- A squad can hold at most 12 shared waypoints. Sharing a 13th drops the oldest.
- A shared waypoint can be removed by the leader or by whoever shared it.
Friendly Fire and Squad Benefits
- Jutsu do not hurt squadmates. Players in the same squad count as allies for jutsu hits, jutsu projectiles, clones and summons.
- If the server has PvP turned off, jutsu never hurt other players at all.
- Plain melee hits and thrown kunai and shuriken follow the server's normal PvP rules, so they can still hit squadmates.
- Mission completion rewards are shared with squadmates within 64 blocks in the same dimension, and boss trials take your nearby squad in with you (see their pages).
