Rogue Ninja Loadouts

A rogue ninja's loadout is picked once, when it first appears, and it keeps it. Its eyes match: a rogue that rolled the Sharingan or Byakugan shows it.

By Rank

  • Genin: one basic nature and its basic jutsu (at least 2, topped up from higher tiers).
  • Chunin: one basic nature, with its intermediate jutsu plus advanced ones (at least 3 in total).
  • Jonin: one kekkei genkai, with its jutsu up to expert tier. A Sharingan Jonin also gets Chidori.
  • ANBU: one kekkei genkai up to master tier, plus two more basic natures with every jutsu of each.

Filling Out Small Kekkei Genkai

A kekkei genkai with fewer than 4 jutsu is filled out with the intermediate and advanced jutsu of the natures it is made of:

  • Ice = water + wind; Wood = earth + water; Lava = fire + earth; Boil = fire + water; Magnet = wind + earth; Storm = water + lightning; Scorch = fire + wind; Explosion = earth + lightning; Blaze = fire; Swift = wind + lightning; Steel = earth + lightning; Dark = lightning + earth; Typhoon = wind + water; Crystal = earth + wind; Dust = fire + wind + earth; Bone = earth; Sharingan = fire + lightning; Byakugan = wind.

Eye-based rogues use their own techniques: Sharingan rogues cast Sharingan genjutsu, and Byakugan rogues use Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm and Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms.

Natures by Village

Each village's ninja lean toward their own land's gifts, though any of them can turn up anywhere:

  • Basic nature: a village's ninja most often have its own nature (Leaf fire, Sand wind, Mist and Rain water, Stone earth, Cloud lightning); the other four are less common.
  • Leaf: favours the Sharingan and the Byakugan.
  • Mist: favours Ice, then Boil, with some Lava.
  • Sand: strongly favours Magnet.
  • Stone: favours Explosion and Lava.
  • Cloud: favours Storm, then Swift.
  • Rain: has no favourites; every kekkei genkai is as likely as the next.
  • Wood and Dust are rare in every village.

The kekkei genkai a rogue can have: Ice, Wood, Lava, Boil, Magnet, Storm, Scorch, Explosion, Blaze, Swift, Steel, Dark, Typhoon, Crystal, Dust, Bone, Sharingan and Byakugan.
