Chakra Meditation

Default key: M

Chakra Meditation is the only source of Chakra XP.

Starting and Stopping

  • Press M while on the ground with no screen open. You must be alive, on the ground, not in water, not riding and not sleeping.
  • You sit down cross-legged, and other players can see it.
  • Stand up with M again or Escape.
  • Moving more than 1.5 blocks from where you sat, taking any damage, dying, riding or logging out ends it at once.
  • The minigame screen does not pause the game.

The Minigame

The world blurs under a breathing chakra glow. A circle with a key in it appears somewhere on the screen: W, A, S or D, chosen at random so no one can idle through it. A ring closes in on the circle; press the shown key as the ring lands on the circle's edge.

Grades, by how close to the moment you pressed:

  • GREAT! within 0.075 seconds (gold)
  • GOOD within 0.15 seconds (green)
  • OKAY within 0.26 seconds (white)
  • MISS: too early, too late (the ring passes 0.26 seconds beyond the edge), or the wrong key (red)

Timing:

  • The first prompt appears 1 second after you sit down.
  • A new prompt appears 0.45 seconds after each answer.
  • A prompt normally takes 1.5 seconds to close.

Streaks and Focus

  • Every 5 hits in a row (with no miss) raises your focus level by one.
  • Each focus level makes the ring close 10% faster (never under 0.7 seconds) and makes XP count for 0.1x more, up to x2.0 (reached at a 50-hit streak).
  • A chime and the message "Focus deepens xN" mark each new focus level.
  • A miss resets the streak to 0.

On Screen

  • The title "Chakra Meditation".
  • "Streak N · xM".
  • A Chakra XP bar, "Chakra XP have / cap" (or "Chakra XP is full for this level").
  • The hint "Press the key as the ring lands · M or Esc to stand up".

XP Per Answer

Each answer earns a percentage of the level's Chakra share, times your streak multiplier, and always at least 1 XP:

  • GREAT: 3.0%
  • GOOD: 2.0%
  • OKAY: 1.0%
  • MISS: 0%

From level 10, the Chakra share is 20% of the level, so a GREAT at x1.0 is worth 0.6% of a level. Below level 10 the "share" is the whole level, so a GREAT is worth 3% of a whole level.

To keep things fair, answers in the first half second, or less than 0.4 seconds apart, don't count, and the multiplier never goes above x2.0.
