Jutsu Points and Specialisation

  • Learning a node spends Jutsu Points (JP). JP are earned on level-up: 3 JP on every 10th level, 2 JP on every other 5th level, and 1 JP on every other level (none at level 1).
  • Levels don't stop at 100: they go on up to level 1000, and every level keeps giving JP. You have 129 JP by level 100 (79 levels x 1 + 10 levels x 2 + 10 levels x 3), then 13 more every ten levels.
  • For scale, every node of every tree together costs 1,060 JP, which takes until about level 820. For most of your career you can learn only part of the mod's jutsu, so you must specialise. Individual trees range from 3 JP for Yin Release to 63 JP for Senjutsu and 56 for the Rinnegan.
  • Stats (Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Genjutsu, Kenjutsu, Medical, Intelligence) use a separate currency: Skill Points (SP), 1 per level plus 5 more every 10th level, 150 at level 100 (levels past 100 give JP only), with each stat capped at 50 allocated points and none allowed in Intelligence. Node stat requirements check your allocated value plus your clan's flat bonus.
  • Learned nodes are permanent: there is no way to "unlearn" a jutsu from the menu. The only things that take a tree away (and give its JP back) are the nature and clan rerolls described below.

Tokens and Rerolls

Three tokens let you change your build. Each is spent from your inventory by a button in the hub menu (J):

  • Skill Tree Reset Token: spent with the "Reset Stat Points" button on the Shinobi Build page. Every Skill Point you have allocated to your stats comes back, to spend again. It does not touch your jutsu or JP.
  • Natural Nature Release Reroll Token: spent with the "Reroll Natural Nature" button on the Jutsu page's Nature Release map. Your natural nature is swapped for a basic nature you don't have yet. See Your Free First Nature at Level 10.
  • Clan Reroll Token: spent with the "Reroll Clan" button on the Clan page. Your clan and its bloodline are swapped for a different clan. See Clans.
  • Both reroll buttons need a second click to confirm. A wheel then spins and slows onto the result, which is revealed when it lands. The old nature or bloodline is taken at once, but nothing new is given until the wheel stops: the new release item, nature or clan, and its advancement all arrive with the reveal. Logging out mid-spin still gives you what the wheel landed on.
  • Where tokens come from: any boss can drop them. A mission's bosses and the wild tailed beasts give them to whoever lands the killing blow; a trial's boss puts them in each winner's reward chest. They can also be bought from the server store: clicking a reroll or respec button without the token tells you so, with a link to the store.
