How Dungeon Trials Play

  • A dungeon's rooms are fought in order, then comes the boss room. Fighting rooms have 9 to 12 spawn points and boss rooms 6 to 10. Every room except the boss room has one sealed exit.
  • Sealed doors are filled with Trial Seal blocks: red, glowing (light level 9), see-through and unbreakable, with amethyst sounds. Nothing can spawn on them and they can't be pushed. A doorway is typically 3 blocks wide and 4 tall.
  • Room 1's goons appear as soon as the party arrives (the arrival point is inside room 1).
  • Every other room's goons appear the first time any party member steps inside that room. A red action-bar message says "Room <n> of <total>: the enemies wake", with a raid horn.
  • When a room's goons are all dead, its exit seals dissolve in red glowing particles with an amethyst-break sound, and a green message says "Room cleared: the seal breaks."
  • After the last room you see "The trial's master stirs..."
  • The boss appears the first time a party member steps into the boss room.
  • The "Room n of total" count is the number of rooms before the boss room.
