Trial Battleground Design

For the curious:

  • Battlegrounds are at most 200 x 96 x 200 blocks.
  • There is solid ground under everything; nothing hangs over the void.
  • Arenas are walled at least 12 blocks high all round, and dungeons are fully roofed.
  • Roofed rooms are lit. The Dark Release halls are kept deliberately dim, but never pitch black.
  • Rooms are 14 to 30 blocks across and 7 to 14 high, with corridors 3 to 5 wide. Boss rooms are at least 30 across and 14 high, and arenas are 70 to 140 across, because NPCs and players fight with big jutsu.
  • Each one is themed to its kekkei genkai with varied block palettes, stairs, slabs and walls for detail, landmarks (statues, pillars, trees, spires) and lights.

The next pages describe every trial. All 38 follow the same reward chest rules. In each entry, "the leader" is the player making the offering, and the reward goes to each party member still in the trial at victory.
