The Nine-Tails Trial

Trial of the Nine-Tails

  • Kind: arena (waves). Tier: great trial.
  • Needs: shinobi level 40 (the leader). Offering: 8,000 ryo, no items.
  • Reward: 15,000 XP (PvE) and 5,000 ryo, plus a personal reward chest.
  • Size: 170 x 70 x 170 blocks (x, y, z), the largest trial.
  • Stages: 4 waves in one open arena (13 spawn points round it), then the boss.
    • Wave 1 (3 foes): 3 x Reanimated Warrior (650 health; jutsu: Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique, Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet, Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet; plus a fighting style each)
    • Wave 2 (4 foes): 2 x Curse Mark Berserker (650 health; its own usual jutsu); 2 x Reanimated Warrior (650 health; jutsu: Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique, Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet, Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet; plus a fighting style each)
    • Wave 3 (6 foes): 3 x Reanimated Warrior (650 health; jutsu: Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique, Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet, Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet; plus a fighting style each); 3 x Curse Mark Berserker (650 health; its own usual jutsu)
    • Wave 4 (8 foes): 4 x Curse Mark Berserker (650 health; its own usual jutsu); 4 x Reanimated Warrior (650 health; jutsu: Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique, Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet, Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet; plus a fighting style each)
  • Boss: Kurama, the Nine-Tails, 12,000 health.
  • Adds (must also die): 2 x Reanimated Warrior (650 health; jutsu: Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique, Earth Release: Earth Dragon Bullet, Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet; plus a fighting style each).
  • Boss DNA / pity token: none. This boss has no DNA to give, so its chests never hold a boss DNA or a pity token (the rest still applies: ryo, fragments, basic-nature DNA, armor and boss tokens).
  • The place: a forest valley the beast has laid waste. Scorched ground of coarse dirt, podzol, ash and blackstone, pocked with craters (one great Tailed Beast Bomb crater among them) and raked by claw gouges; giant trees splintered off or felled, stumps smouldering; and a ring of mountains walling it in. The middle is left wide open for a fox sixteen blocks tall and thirty-two long, and the party arrives on a raised ledge on the southern slopes, far off.
